Research

Our SCN research can be organized into three broad categories. We conduct experiments to assess:

1) the effects of agronomic practices (tillage, row spacing, plant population densities, etc.) and use of resistant varieties on soybean cyst nematode population densities and soybean yield loss caused by the nematode,

2) the effects of soil amendments, natural antagonists, and other products marketed or being developed for management of the soybean cyst nematode,

3) interactions of the soybean cyst nematode with herbicides and with other soybean pathogens and insect and weed pests.
