Extension Programs

Plant Disease Clinic - The Plant Disease clinic aids Iowans in diagnosing plant diseases.

Hortline - Information on lawn, garden, and landscape plant questions is available from ISU Extension staff.

Master Gardener Program - The mission of the Master Gardener Program is to provide current, research-based, home horticulture information and education to the citizens of Iowa through ISU Extension programs and projects. Department Highlights

Dr. Mark Gleason

Professor, Extension Plant Pathologist

"What excites you about your job? I have a great job! Every day is different. Since I work with many crops (fruit, vegetables, ornamentals, shade trees, and turfgrass), and am heavily involved in research, teaching, and extension, I get to interact with students, colleagues, and all sorts of other Iowans. I especially enjoy working with graduate students and undergraduate interns." Read More
