Sandra Hernández, a native of Colombia, earned her M.S. degree at ISU in August 2005. In in vitro studies, she determined the optimum temperature for growth of newly-discovered SBFS fungi. She also optimized removal of SBFS signs from apples using post-harvest dip treatments. Since graduating from ISU, Sandra has been earning a degree in endodontics at New York University, NY.
