R3 thru R6 (pod set through seed fill)
These stages are the most crucial period for
seed yield. If rust attacks during early seed
filling, leaf loss could significantly reduce
yields. Fungicide application at this
stage is critical. Some fungicides cannot
be sprayed after R5. Be sure to read labels.
