OMAHA (DTN) -- Since early September, the USDA soybean rust Web site has sent out multiple alerts on Asian soybean rust across the south from Texas to Florida and north to the Corn Belt. Since January 2008, soybean rust has been reported in 16 states and 394 counties across the south and as far north as Oklahoma, Illinois and Maryland. That's more than double the counties confirmed in 2007.
