Overwintering Update: Soybean rust has overwintered again in the South. The fungus survived most of the winter on kudzu patches in Texas and Louisiana. However, with recent cold fronts, most of the kudzu in those two states did die back and rust is no longer found there (although Louisiana has not updated the ipmPIPE web page.
