Some of the highlights of the program include:  1) Presentations by Tiffany Jamann and Tamara Jackson-Ziems on career perspectives, 2) Presentations on international research and outreach by Sally Miller and Mohammad Babadoost, 3) Career skills workshop on Professional Presentations and Honing Soft Skills, 4) An Introduction to R for plant pathologists workshop, 5) a tour of the University of Illinois campus and Crop Sciences research projects.

2017 APS Annual Meeting Changing Landscapes of Plant Pathology

Changing Landscapes of Plant Pathology highlights two factors that are and will continue to have a profound impact on the science and practice of plant pathology: new technologies and the next generation of plant pathologists who will employ them in their pursuit of solutions to plant health problems. The advent of faster and less expensive nucleic acid sequencing technologies has provided opportunities to answer questions not previously possible to answer.
