SCN-Resistant Soybean Variety Trials

VT plots - Bruner Farm 01

Background:

Use of resistant soybean varieties is a very effective strategy for managing soybean cyst nematode (SCN), and numerous SCN-resistant soybean varieties are evaluated in SCN-infested and noninfested fields throughout Iowa by personnel from the department of Plant Pathology at Iowa State University. These are the only SCN-resistant soybean trials conducted in Iowa that report plot by plot nematode data in addition to standard agronomic data.

This research is funded by soybean checkoff funds from the Iowa Soybean Association and also by the Iowa Agriculture and Home Economics Experiment Station.
