Former Student Catie Wram Chosen as ISU CALS Young Alumni of the Month for October 2018

We are happy to announce that former Baum Lab undergraduate Catie Wram ('16 Microbiology, Genetics) has been chosen by the ISU College of Agriculture and Life Sciences as their Young Alum of the Month for October 2018!    Catie was an outstanding student in our lab, working with Stacey Barnes on effector GLAND4 (see our Featured Publications section) and also doing some bioinformatic analyses.  You can read the full article from CALS, featuring Catie, here:

Catie is continuing her work in the field of nematology in the lab of Dr. Inga Zasada at Oregon State, where she is studying the physiological and molecular biological effects of sub-lethal doses of post-plant nematicides on the Southern Root-Knot Nematode, Meloidogyne incognita.
